| Q. |
Are private messages confidential? |
| A. |
Yes, no-one else will see them except the sender and recipient. This is the recommended way to send sensitive information like e-mail addresses and phone numbers etc.
|
| Q. |
How do I send someone a private message? |
| A. |
There are several ways:
(i) On an advert page, click the link to 'Send the seller a private message'.
(ii) On an advert page, click on someone's username in the Q/A section.
(iii) In your inbox or sent mail, click on someone's username.
(iv) Reply to a private message you have already received.

| Q. |
What is the Q/A section on the advert pages for? |
| A. |
For asking and replying to questions about the property in a non-confidential and public way. Asking questions in this manner allows others to learn more about the property and at the same time saves the seller answering the same questions over and again.
|
| Q. |
How will I know if someone has replied? |
| A. |
You will be alerted by e-mail and should look in 'My Account' for details.
|
| Q. |
If I am a seller, how will I know someone has asked me a question? |
| A. |
Again, you will be alerted by e-mail and should look in 'My Account' for details.
|
| Q. |
What does it mean if there are new Q/As on my favourites? |
| A. |
It just means other users have been using the Q/A section on your favourite adverts, so there may be messages of interest to you.
|
| Q. |
How do I add an advert to my favourites? |
| A. |
There is a link 'Add to favourites' on the advert page, but an advert will automatically be added if you post a question on it. You will need the advert in your favourites to track any responses on it.
|
| Q. |
Where do I find my favourites? |
| A. |
On the 'My Account' page.
|
| Q. |
How long will my advert stay live for? |
| A. |
Indefinitely. However, if you do not login for over six months we will send you an e-mail asking you to confirm whether or not your property has been sold. This is to help keep all listings up-to-date.
|
| Q. |
Which picture format should I use, landscape or portrait? |
| A. |
You can use either but we would always recommend landscape; not only do these make better property pictures but they also display better. Having said that, if you have a particularly good picture in portrait, then use it. We will trim it to fit and often they still look good - try it and see. Also in the full-size click-through you can still see it in portrait version.
|
| Q. |
What picture sizes should I use? |
| A. |
We have a minimum picture size of 440 x 300 pixels, however there is no maximum, it just takes longer for larger files to upload. (About 1MB per minute with 2GB internet connection - obviously times vary according to speed.)
